Dictionary.com's definition of a play date is: "
an appointment made by parents for their children to play together."
That is not the main reason Emily and I got together - we wanted to catch up! - but it was a happy result of the visit. :)
The kiddos enjoyed spending time together, sitting across from each other on a blanket. :)
Meet Austin, one of the cutest baby boys around.
And he chose my house to be the place where he sat for the first time. :)
I couldn't stop taking pictures - what a cutie patootie. :)
Lucy was so excited to have a friend to play with.
I know you can't tell from the picture, which doesn't have sound, but she was babbling away - having a serious conversation with her friend. :)
This is her, "Thanks for scheduling me a play date mom!" face :)
Taking in the sights. It is amazing what a difference 4 months makes when you are Austin and Lucy's age. It was so fun to be reminded of where Luce was a few months ago and not so fun to realize that she is getting. so. big.
The big girl herself, explaining to Austin how a toy works. :)
"Mom, you interrupted me. I have to start over now."
"How does this toy work?"
It was so cute, Austin didn't love the bumbo seat, and Lucy leaned over and tried to comfort him. "It's ok buddy, it's not so bad once you get used to it!"
It was a fun morning, next time we will have to have James and Mya over too (Lucy's other friends from church.)!!
